MOVE UP POLICY

Dogs fulfilling the requirements for a UKC Obedience Title may move up to the next level of competition starting with the next trial even if they have not been notified by UKC.

Neither UKC nor Gas City Dog club will be responsible for any mistakes made by the dog’s owner concerning points or legs.

If you are wishing to move up to the next level of competition, please notify the entry table prior to the end of that day’s trial.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

All events are held under the Rules and Regulations of UKC. The rules regarding appropriate collars allowed in the ring have been modified. Collars with nameplates or embroidery will be allowed. For safety reasons, collars will not be allowed to have tags or other objects hanging from them. No pinch collars allowed on site.

UKC and Gas City Dog Club are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft.

Absolutely no alcoholic beverages or unprescribed drugs will be allowed on the grounds or in the building the day of a UKC licensed event.

Exhibitors must clean up after their dogs at all times or their score points can be held back and they may be denied entry to compete again.

All dogs must be crated or on leash when not in the ring.

Exhibitors MUST keep crate and exercise areas clean.

Please respect the efforts of other competitors - dogs and children must be kept under control at all times.

No dog under the age of 3 months is allowed in the show area.

NOVICE "A" HANDLERS, showing more than 1 dog in this class, MUST HANDLE EACH DOG IN ALL THE EXERCISES.

POST DATED CHEQUES will NOT be accepted.

Any NSF CHEQUES will be considered non-payment.

REFUND POLICY ON ENTRY FEES

Entry fees will be refunded (on 48 hours notice) if a bitch entered comes into season, or illness of the dog or handler with a vet or doctor’s note.

Entry fees cannot be refunded if a dog is absent, disqualified, excused from competition by the Judge or Trial Committee, or if the dog is entered in the wrong class.

RECEIPTS AND ARMBAND NUMBERS

Receipts and armband numbers will be given to each exhibitor when they check in. Advance entries must be confirmed ½ hour prior to the time the dog is scheduled to compete. We cannot guarantee a starting time for each class. We encourage exhibitors to arrive early and check-in at the entry table as soon as you arrive.

PRIZES AND RIBBONS

As per U.K.C. rules, no money may be given as a prize at U.K.C. Licensed Events.

High Scoring Junior - Rosette

High In Trial - Rosette

Special Prizes – Obedience & Rally

High Qualifying Score in Each Class for the Weekend - Plaque

High Aggregate Score (same dog, same class, all 4 trials) - Gift Basket

Mike Neil Memorial Award - Medallion and name on Perpetual Plaque

(Highest Qualifying Score by a Gas City Dog Club Member/Dog Team)

*All dogs entered in a U.K.C. Licensed Trial must be registered with U.K.C.

*Please ensure that all of your dog’s shots are up to date prior to exhibiting

*Please double check entry forms to ensure they have been filled in COMPLETELY and ACCURATELY

with appropriate addresses and phone numbers (e-mail is appreciated).

*Dog’s height MUST be accurately recorded.
