Joker is a 3 year old American Eskimo. He came to live with Bill, (husband) and I in Feb. after a 3 day rig move at Wetaskiwin. He is originally from LacLabiche, but the owner didn't want to make the trip to Medicine Hat and we didn't want to send him in the plane. My son-in-law had a rig move in that area and so we decided that they could meet in Wetaskiwin. Joker traveled, sitting quietly on a lap the whole time. He had a crate, but because he was so cute and cuddly, he was allowed to ride the way, in a semi, warm and snuggly on a lap. To this day, Jason, (son-in -law) is one of Joker's favorite people, (next to me, of course). Joker has been in puppy classes with Gas City since he was 8 months old, he then was in Obedience level 1 Class, two or three times, Obedience level II Class, two or three times, and then I started him in Agility.
He has been doing Agility I and II, but recently started over again because he became afraid of heights and the teeter, and, thanks to good instructing from the Gas City Dog Club, Joker is coming along quite nicely.
I recently started him in Rally Obedience, which I think he will be good at as well, if I can keep his mind on what he is doing. (or is that me)???
I have another dog named Missy. She is a beautiful white and tan colored EskCo, (American Eskimo, Collie cross). She is from Cornation, and came to live with us when she was 3 months old. She has had her in puppy classes with Gas City Dog Club, and Obedience Level I and II, two or three times, and then we moved on to Agility. She has Agility Level I and II, and now, just to keep her agile, I have her in Agility Level II again, with the Gas City, and a Distance Class with the Flashing Canine Club.
I do plan on putting her in Rally Obedience as well. She is a quick learner and is very eager to please.
Once again, thanks to the good instruction at the Gas City Dog Club, Missy is becoming more confident in agility classes, and I am looking forward to doing Trials with the Flashing Canine Club in May and hopefully will compete at Rally Obedience in August.
My goal is to enjoy my dogs with whatever they do, and to have fun with all the people I meet, and compete with, along the way.
May I learn to be as good a person as my dogs think I am!
