Canine Fitness - Exercises to Strengthen Your Canine

February 10, 2024

Canine Fitness - Exercises to Strengthen Your Canine

We had an awesome workshop learning about low impact exercises designed to strengthen your canine companion. The presenter was Dr. Lauren Peterson (DPT, Dip Canine Rehab) from Chinook Canine Rehab (Lethbridge). Lauren spent the afternoon with several dogs and owners demonstrating various exercises and props that could be used to strengthen both the front and hind limbs and give more strength and flexibility of movement. As well as the instruction, demonstration and supervised practice, Lauren also provided handouts containing the information covered in the workshop. It was a fun-filled, informative afternoon with lots of supervised practice and great information as to how to progress the exercises.

Special thanks to Dr. Lauren Peterson for providing such an informative and interesting workshop!
